A major step forward was made last night in the development of the Red Skelton Museum and Education Center in Vincennes.
Lawrenceville, Illinois Civic Leader Frank Ladner announced that he was donating 1-million dollars towards the museum's construction.
Bernie Niehaus, President of the Red Skelton Museum Foundation says the board of directors has set a fund-raising goal of 4-million dollars to complete the museum.
He says they are going nationwide with their efforts to raise the money.
The Museum's planned interactive exhibits will focus on Red Skelton's role in early television and theatre, along with a display of his clown paintings.
Niehaus says The Little Red Theatre planned for the museum will feature many of Red's movies and TV shows.
